V8 SUPERCAR TRANSPORTER PARADE july 7

Where: Start at 'Ingham Road', finish at Reid Park

On Wednesday July 7, the streets of Townsville will get ready to roll with the V8 Supercar Transporter Parade. Join in the celebrations, as the million-dollar V8 Supercar Transporters make their way into Townsville in a co-ordinated convoy. Catch your favourite team from the sideline of the streets, beeping their horns and waving to the fans. It's a spectacular display of colour and excitement cavalcading through the streets to signify the start of the amazing event.

Join in this celebration at Riverway including markets, exhibitions, a multi cultural food court, V8 Supercar and Fujitsu driver signings, entertainment, amusements and much more.

There’ll be a Ford versus Holden showdown on the Tony Ireland Stadium oval from 4pm. Then from 4.30pm, meet the Fujitsu driver and then the V8 Supercar drivers in the flesh from 5.00pm; take your favourite merchandise along for the chance to have it signed by the drivers.

The entertainment stage will include the likes of Steel Dragon, Groove, Alien 8 and the Black Sorrows plus there’ll be roving entertainers, kids’ rides and amusements.

Showtime FMX will be showcasing some of their freestyle motocross tricks as they perform a prelude show in the lead up to their main shows at the Sucrogen Townsville 400. The ShowTime FMX Freestyle Moto X Team has cemented its position as the most spectacular main arena act in the country with choreographed stunts, pyrotechnic effects and freestyle ramp jumps.

And don’t miss Australia’s biggest professional winter wakeboard and slider competition when they put on a display in the Riverway lagoons.
