Three types of ticket will ensure all patrons get the best seats in the house at
next week’s Norton 360 Sandown Challenge in Melbourne, a feature event of the V8
Supercar Championship Series.
General admission patrons can attend the event from as little as $20 per day and
have access to the massive grandstand on the main straight on a first in, first
served basis.
Others wishing for some additional benefits can pay a little extra for the best
viewing, exclusive access to the Advantage Bar and Restaurant, an exclusive pit
walk and their own guaranteed seat.
The Advantage Bar and Restaurant will have the on track action and live timing
beamed directly to the many televisions in the restaurant, there will be driver
appearances over the course of the weekend and a number of V8 Supercars on
display.
Premium seating for reserved and unreserved grandstand seats, at $130 and $120
for the full three days, offers the extra benefits and a look inside the
inner-workings of V8 Supercars during a free pit walk.
The 480 reserved grandstand seats have been completely sold out but there are
unreserved seats still available. The remainder, around 6000 lower ground and
perimeter seats are available to general admission ticket holders on a first
served basis on each day.
“There are not too many events where grandstand seats are available at general
admission prices,” V8 Supercar Events General Manager Shane Howard said.
“That said there are prime locations that will be reserved for people who want
to take advantage of the best viewing and their own bar and restaurant
facilities offering great value for money. They are also guaranteed their seat
for all three days.”
This year, for the first time in the events history, the start line has been
moved forward several hundred metres so the cars will form up directly in front
of the grandstand offering uninterrupted viewing of the race start and pre-race
activities.
Reserved and unreserved grandstand ticket holders also receive a free V8
Supercar pit lane walk on Saturday and Sunday morning prior to the each day of
racing.
This year’s event will also focus on family with the special offer of Kids under
12 free with a paying adult (tickets from $20). The Norton 360 Family Zone will
keep them entertained featuring jumping castles, bungy run, pacer karts, giant
slide and more.
In the skies the Royal Australian Air Force formation aerobatic display team,
known as “The Roulettes” will showcase their Air Force flying skills to the
Australian Public.
The V8 Supercars will hit the track on Friday 31st July for practice. The Norton
360 Sandown challenge has changed this year to an exciting 2 race sprint format,
with a feature event on both Saturday and Sunday.
