V8 Supercars Australia has announced a significant addition to the Norton 360
Sandown Challenge with the introduction of an exclusive bar and restaurant for
all
grandstand seat holders at this year’s event.
The concept is to utilise the facilities at Sandown Raceway and create a
Melbourne Cup style atmosphere where people in the main grandstand have
exclusive access to the Advantage Bar and Restaurant.
It will feature a fully staffed restaurant with a wide selection of food, a
coffee shop and bars.
“Being in the event business we are constantly looking at all ways to better the
customer experience,” V8 Supercar Events General Manager Shane Howard said.
“Grandstand
seat holders have paid a little extra for the benefits of an undercover seat
so we felt it was a great opportunity to also offer them their own inside dining
area.
“It’s a great facility to unwind with plenty of good food, bars and television
screens so people can still watch all the on-track action while they are
relaxing in comfort.”
The facility will have the on track action and live timing beamed directly to
the many televisions in the restaurant. There will also be driver appearances
over the course of the weekend and a number of V8 Supercars on display, ensuring
fans are soaking up all things V8 Supercar.
Grandstand ticket holders will arrive at the circuit in time to also enjoy
an exclusive pit walk before heading to their undercover seats in the
grandstand. They will have a front row seat for the pre-race and starting grid
action.
